Many of the nonfiction films produced during the Syrian revolution offer intimate histories, picturing familial, domestic, and intergenerational bonds during the war. This roundtable provides a space to reflect on the making and afterlives of those films, on the affective dimensions of dislocation and exile, and how nonfiction cinema can offer virtual worlds to sustain imaginaries across the diaspora.
