Short and Medium-Length Competition

Aqueronte Manuel Muñoz Rivas

Onboard a ferry, anonymous passengers make their journey across the water. Some gaze at the horizon, lost in thought, while others talk amongst themselves to pass the time. With the boat enveloped in fog, the passengers’ laughter, whispers, and conversations take shape alongside the ceremonial silence of the ocean, creating a poetic chorus of idleness and contemplation. With faces, cars, and human figures cloaked in haze, the journey feels unreal, suspended in time. Aqueronte is a voyage through the transitory space not only between two shores, but also between reality and reverie. (AJL)
