names first wave of international decision makers,
announces pass sales and repeats call for submissions
Montreal, Thursday, August 23, 2018 – Doc Circuit Montréal (DCM) is pleased to announce the first wave of influential international decision makers who have confirmed their attendance and the launch of the sale of passes for the 14th annual DCM.
INTERNATIONAL DECISION MAKERS FOR 2018
Doc Circuit Montréal is proud to announce the participation of international decision makers in the market’s largest activity, the One-on-One, on Tuesday November 13. The activity is a full day of individual meetings between producers, directors and decision makers: public and private broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, festival programmers, institutions and foundations. It is a unique opportunity to create new partnerships and boost new projects.
Women Make Movies - Kristen Fitzpatrick is the Director of Distribution & Acquisition at Women Make Movies. She is responsible for the acquisition of the organization's new releases, overseeing all distribution, and programs the global exhibition of WMM's collection.
CPH:Dox - Mads Mikkelsen is a programmer at CPH:DOX – Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival – since 2008. He is currently the festival's Head of Selection Committee.
The Guardian - Charlie Phillips is the Head of Documentaries at The Guardian, commissioning and acquiring new short documentaries from all around the world.
ARTE GEIE - Philippe Müller is a Commissioning Editor Antenne/Web and has long supported quality documentary programs made for television.
Tribeca Film Institute - José Rodriguez is Director of Documentary Programs for the Tribeca Film Institute. The TFI Documentary Programs department oversees five documentary funds for both feature and short documentary projects.
True/False, Abby Sun is part of the True/False Documentary Film Fest Programming team. True/False programs 40 features and 25 shorts each year and is a non-competitive event.

PASS SALES
Registration is now open for the One-on-One meetings (November 13).
By registering, producers and filmmakers with documentary projects at any stage of production will have:
- the chance to set up meetings with more than 80 decision makers (broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, festival and foundation representatives);
- access to three days of presentations, workshops and networking activities (November 12 to 14).

It is also possible to register for DCM minus the One-on-One, for those wishing just to attend activities such as workshops and round tables.

ONGOING CALLS FOR PROJECTS
In parallel to the One-on-Ones, Doc Circuit Montréal wishes to recall that established as well as emerging producers and directors are invited to submit their documentary film projects by September 3, 2018 for the Cuban Hat Pitch. See the webpage for more information on the prizes awarded by the industry and the audience.
We also encourage all Quebec based emerging filmmakers to send their applications for First Pitch by September 16, 2018. All types of projects, genres, formats and platforms are admissible at any stage of production.
