The RIDM are pleased to present their new visual identity for this festival's 24th edition. For a fifth successive year, the festival has called upon the talented team of Montreal graphic design studio Caserne, a collaboration that has already paid off by winning a Prix Idea this year with the 2020 visual campaign and a Prix Grafika in 2018.
This powerful and aesthetic visual campaign is structured around the work of photographer Hamza Abouelouafaa against a film backdrop, constituting a veritable jumping off point between the elements of documentary film language. Combining the concepts of framing, diversity of points of view and the importance of detail while referring to the plurality of issues raised by the documentary artworks presented at the RIDM, the 2021 visual identity also evokes the return of the festival in theaters, "Where all Stories Meet"!
