Forum RIDM, presented by Netflix, is pleased to announce the outstanding participation of international delegations joining the Canadian cohort of Doc Lab Montréal which will be held from November 17 to 22, 2023. Hailing form Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Bavaria (Germany) and Senegal, the filmmaker-producer duo will actively participate in various workshops and professional development activities organized as part of the next edition of Forum RIDM.
The inclusion of these teams was made possible thanks to close cooperation with Mexico’s DocsMX Festival, the Nuevas Miradas section of Cuba’s Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV (EICTV), the Brasil CineMundi co-production market in Brazil, as well as the DOK.fest München(Bavaria) and Stlouis’Docs (Senegal) professional documentary forums. The shared objective of these collaborations is to support documentary creation, promote co-production by fostering participants’ professional development, and forging significant connections between the industries of these regions.
Bilateral partnerships were made possible thanks to financial support from the Government of Quebec’s Ministère de la Culture et des Communications and Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie. The presence of the Mexican delegation comes courtesy of the Canada Council for the Arts.
Selected projects and the names of each delegation’s participants will be unveiled shortly.
