The RIDM is pleased to announce that its professional track, Doc Circuit Montreal (DCM) has been rebranded as Forum RIDM. NETFLIX BECOMES MAJOR PARTNER FOR FORUM RIDM AND ITS TALENT LAB
The Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM) and its professional Forum are pleased to welcome NETFLIX as major partner. NETFLIX will be a partner for the Forum RIDM and its Talent Lab, a marquee event launched in 2014.
The four-year investment by NETFLIX, starting with the 2019 edition, will allow the RIDM’s professional Forum and Talent Lab to solidify their essential role in the documentary industry in Quebec and across Canada. NETFLIX will make it possible for the Forum RIDM’s Talent Lab to develop the next generation of Canadian documentary talent. The partnership will enhance the individual and group guidance provided, as well as creating new opportunities to host some of the world’s top documentary professionals. NETFLIX’s support of the Forum RIDM’s Talent Lab comes from its fund to develop the next generation of Canadian creators and talent.
The Forum RIDM’s Talent Lab is a closed-circuit laboratory for 20 emerging artists of all types and backgrounds. The program is focused on the participants’ creative process and documentary style, with many participants receiving personalized mentorship.
